Smoking can yellow teeth and nails, leave a (very) bad odour on the individual as well as having more serious effects.

Smaking can cause fatal cancers such as Lung Cancer- google it to see how disgusting it is...

They shorten breath so that excercise is difficult, even for those who excercise regularly.

That's just the tip of the iceburg..

But the good news is that if you stop early/young enough, you can pretty much reverse MOST damages!

If youre already addicted to ciggerettes, then it should have a huge impact on your life. If i was you i would quit as soon as possible because its easier to quit when youre younger rather than when youre older.

It can cause you to have lung cancer at a young age, gengivitus, rot your teeth, heart troubles, etc.

good luck!

Well, first off, at your age it's illegal. (at least in the U.S.) It has over 400 poisinous chemicals. It takes up little air pockets up in you lungs so it's harder to get in more air to breathe. You get all types of cancers from this. It's unatractive in younger teens like you. It turns the whited in your eyes a sickly baish color (usaully), your teeth and fingernails turn yellow, and tons more.

You also get the smoke smell all over your clothes. It causes your teethe to rot. You should see what mouth cance does to you. And every 13 seconds someone days from tobacco related things. Oh, and second hand smoke is putting anyone around in risk, and is just as dangerous, and they say in a lifetime a regular smoker spends over 1 millions dollars on cigarrettes. Oh, and cigarrettes are more harmful to younger people because it can interfere how your developing (growing)

It will cut down on your ability to breathe, it lines the little air sacs in you lungs with tar from the smoke and less oxygen will enter your bloodstream. It will affect your athletic ability at first, then later on your ability to do ordinary things, like climb stairs or have sex comfortably.
It will also make you smell like an ashtray and limit your appeal to girls who smoke, since its really disgusting for the ones who don't to have to smell you.
Sniff a day-old ashtray and figure if that's an appealing smell.
It also makes your teeth yellow. Again unappealing.
That's if you haven't got a sensitivity to it.
If you do, its much worse as the nicotine and some of the 400 other chemicals present in cigarette smoke can shut down your veins and cause really awful things, like amputations, and losing your larynx, cases of oral cancers rarely strike those who don't use tobacco in any form.
Its also just plain expensive, surely you have better places to spend your money.

Please quit while you are young and before you get addicted. Smoking can seriously harm your health and the health of those exposed to your second hand smoke. I know that's hard to believe while you are so young and feeling healthy and strong, but I know a few people that started smoking young and would up with serious health issues, including having to have an oxygen tank at all times. It's also very expensive and you could put that money to better use. Here are some websites that will help answer your question. Good luck and I hope you make a wise and informed decison. Smoking can kill you. It is really that serious.

Can you tell me what GOOD it does you? Why did you start in the first place?

Your breath smells
Your hands smell
Your clothes smell
Only other people who smoke will like you (and that number is decreasing)
Nicotine is addictive
The smoke causes cancer in you AND in the unwitting people who are around you and have to breathe in your nasty second hand smoke
Causes shortness of breath
Can cause emphysema
Can cause lung cancer

Just because there are old people who smoke all their lives and never got any of the diseases doesn't mean you won't. I know since you're 15 you think nothing bad can happen to you and I understand that feeling because I felt it myself at your age, but it CAN. Why take the risk?
And like I asked before, what GOOD does smoking do you?

Well, I was 15 when I started smoking. I quit for a year, but then (stupidly) started smoking again. It's nearly impossible for me to quit now. I wish I could. It's a very expensive habit to have. It's also expensive to try to quit. It gets harder and harder. I've been smoking for 12 years now and I feel trapped. When I think about all the money I've wasted.... it's depressing. I've tried the patch and the losenges (both made me really sick). I tried the pills (made me hallucinate). I tried the little gold thingy in your ear. Didn't work. When I try to quit, I feel like I'm starving to death. Sad, but true. It's so much harder to quit than people think. They think, "Oh, I can stop any time I want to." Well, to those idiots who think it's easy, I just tell them to try to stop eating for a week. That's what it feels like. Some people have the will power to do it, but a majority of people will cave.

Anyway, even though I've been smoking for 12 years, I am perfectly healthy. My doctor says so. Obviously, my good health can't last forever, so it is in my best interest to stop smoking..... I don't want to be forced to quit because I've got cancer or something. Another thing, getting cancer is often due to a genetic predisposition. For example, in my family, there are no birth defects, no cancer, nothing major. It is unlikely that I will develop cancer, have a retarded child, etc. Not impossible, naturally, but unlikely. The only "defect" there is in my family is that we have triplets who are deaf (a common problem with premature triplets).

Anyway, quit smoking while you still can!

The toxins from smoking go through the blood, thereby harming EVERY single organ in your entire body. This is the time when it will be the easiest for you to quit. Please research the dangers of smoking on the internet. Check out pictures of vital organs of smokers as opposed to nonsmokers. Ever visited a cancer ward in a hospital? Believe me the time flies when you smoke and plan on quitting but never do... then before you know it 30yrs has passed and your body feels like sixty. :(

TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!!!!!!

Thanks!

quit now

I am a smoker, 20 years old

I've been smoking since I was 14

the habit now costs me 70 dollars a week
it will do the same to you!
