Stomach Flu?!

Question: Well last night i think i came down with a little case of the Stomach Flu. I couldn't keep anything down, not even water. Today I fell better though, I'm drinking hot tea, and not throwing up. I haven't eaten anything all day though, and I'm getting Hungry? What are some foods that i can eat right now? [besides toast]

Eat a banana, some saltine crackers, jello is good for you, applesauce, plain noodles, just eat light. Gatorade is good for you, 7-up and water. You need to keep hydrated. Stay away from anything heavy, greasy, buttery, and nothing dairy... as it might cause your vomiting to come back. I usually try to just eat light the day after I throw up, and then the next morning if you're feeling okay and can keep food in your stomach, have some soup, nothing too acidic like tomato though. I hope you're feeling better soon.

Pretzels and Carbonated water/ cider

Try not to go on solid food until the stomach is feeling much better. Try chicken soup first and see how it reacts.
Ensure would also give you the necessary nutrients for your body if your stomach don't like solid food yet.

Chicken noodle soup is one of the best things to eat whenever you're sick. Also, clear liquids like water, Ginger Ale, 7up. Just start with liquids, then go to soft foods, and take it from there.

If you were throwing up, and it only lasted for a day, chances are it's not the flu. Chances are you got a bit of tomaine poisoning. It used to happen to my sister all the time. Whatever you ate, has probably all been eliminated by now. Tomaine poisoning only stays in your body for about a day.
