Yes!!! Naproxen 500 mgm (brand name of Aleve) ;a NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) is both an analgesic (pain-relieving ) and anti-inflammatory..

Thus; this drug would be good for both. - the tendonitis in your knee. and bursitis in your shoulder. ( In all likelihood, the shoulder pains are due to bursitis).

You can also use a heating pad; pain-relieving gel and massaging the area would help the soreness.

Naproxen is sold over the counter so yes it is safe to take.

I would not take anything for shoulder pain without seeing a doctor because there are other things that can cause shoulder pain. Best to see your doctor.

yes as long as the medication has not expired. If your shoulder does not improve you might want to consult your doctor. Sometimes your rotator cuff might be the problem so do not hesitate to call your doctor and do not take more than the original dose.

Naproxen Sodium is a general pain reliever in the NSAID category (Non-Steriodal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs). It is prescribed for many sorts of pain. You can also get it over the counter (Aleve). I have taken it for years for cramps, but I also have an arthritc knee that acts up every now and then, so sometimes I take it for that too. I have had tendonitis too, in my wrist, elbow, and shoulder, from repetitive motion injury. If you know what tendonitis feels like and think you have the same thing in your shoulder, by all means, use the Naproxen if you think it would help. Prescription strength Naproxen can sometimes cause stomach upset, so you should eat something with it, if you dont know that already. You might want to have your doc check out your shoulder, just in case it is something other than tendonitis.
