Question: without going to the doctor

Answers: without going to the doctor

It may sound lame but this is truth..Gargle with warm salt water it helps to shrink those infalmmed and swollen tissues in the throat and take some tylenol for the pain, also make a thyme (the Herb) tea and strain it ,sweeten it with honey, thyme has been shown to have antibacterial properties do this as often as needed until better. make also a concoction of honeyand lemon and either take it by the spoonful as often as u want it is natural or add it to sweeten hot tea. Overall drinking hot liquids really does help try this and feel better.

Suck something big... A lozenge should do the trick XD

try a shot of honey and lemon mixture. not sure what the lemon does, but the honey covers the throat and helps calm. my nan used to always give it to me:P

I have too, just taking paracetamol, dont think theres much else you can do but sit it out. Hope you get better soon.

go to the health shop and get natural vitamin c tablets, they work great .

Take a pain reliever.
Gargle with warm water and salt or cider vinegar.
Drink warm chicken broth, tea with honey, or powered jello mixed with warm water.
Wrap a warm scarf around your neck when you go out.
Hope you feel better soon.

Drink hot drinks to help clean out the infection and cold drinks to help soothe. Suck on peppermints made with real peppermint oil. That's what I do.

When you're sick, choose fluids such as water, soups and broths - not sodas or drinks that contain caffeine, which can dehydrate you further. If you find it extremely painful to swallow, try sipping warm broth through a straw or sucking on ice chips. You may also find that Jello slides down easily.
At one time, doctors automatically treated all sore throats with antibiotics, both to cure the infection and to prevent dangerous complications such as rheumatic fever. Now, doctors are much less likely to prescribe medication because the overuse of antibiotics has led to an increase in antibiotic-resistant strains of bacteria. What's more, antibiotics such as penicillin do little to hasten recovery from strep throat or to reduce signs and symptoms, and they don't prevent infections from recurring. Be sure your doctor performs a rapid strep test before prescribing any antibiotic for a sore throat.
If your doctor does recommend antibiotics for you or your child, take the entire course of medication, even if you feel better. This helps prevent a partially treated strep infection from coming back, and helps prevent the most serious strep throat complications kidney damage (glomerulonephritis) and rheumatic fever. Taking the entire course also prevents bacteria from becoming resistant to the medication.

Gargle with apple cider vinegar & honey (Diluted of course) the acid from the vinegar helps kill off any bacteria & honey is natures antibiotic....also get some yogurt with acidophilus and eat it.
