My poop smells sort of sweet... is something wrong?!
Question: I'm not diabetic or anything like that... I'm an eighteen year old transman that's overweight but otherwise in great health.
I took a poop today and noticed that it smelled rather sweet. I'm mildly worried because for a few hours beforehand, I'd had pains in my abdomen that were much like menstrual cramps (yes, I know what those feel like, I'm trans) but definitely aren't.
My pee just smells like it always does, like a cup of coffee, so I'm not concerned about that. I also haven't made any changes in diet recently, and I know that it wasn't air freshener.
So could this be a consequence of my diet (which consists of about 1/2 fresh vegetables and 1/2 pizza, and a couple cups of coffee per day) or is it something more serious?

I beileve that it depends on your diet and the things that you are eating.Mine smells kind of funny when i am on my period.The reason that your stomach pains could be caused when you were pooping,you strained and your stomach muscles were working kinda hard.It wouldn't hurt to go get a check up though.
if that is your long term diet, and your pee smells like coffee, you are not in great health.
go see your doctor and show him or her this message.
