Drink warm tea with honey (will help soothe your throat)
Eat chicken noodle soup, but spice it up with some hot sauce, you can also add parsley and other spices to make it taste really good.
Drink Gatorade, Powerade, Orange Juice, and Water
Take Vitamin C Tablets
Get some Airborne (dissolving tablets that are full of vitamins)

This is what I have been doing, and I have been getting better (a lot better than I was before)

try taking ginger tea. and lemolate. it is available at any chemist as an OTC

well, perhaps your friend is right, drink lots of warm water, chicken soup or simply vegetable soup (if you happen to be a vegetarian. :) and take good rest is always the best thing to do.

Of course, to be on the safe side, you might wanna go see a doctor, just to confirm it's not some thing else...

Cheers, and wish you well. :)

Poor you! I guess typing and chat are your best option instead of talking, so rest your throat is first priority. Gargle with saltwater. Try eating manuka honey or just normal honey maybe with ginger and lemon in tea. Maybe you are allergic and your sinuses and bronchials are clogged up. Try avoiding dairy. And maybe get some advice on allergies and testing for them.

If you take honey and you drop lemon or orange juice in it,you drink at night and you sleep, you do it for three nights, i think you can get better

Here are a few simple home remedies that will help to overcome cough. Have honey in a hot drink before bed time.To relieve fits of coughing due to dryness in the throat, suck a few pepper corns. Check out http://useinfo6.blogspot.com/ for more remedies and information.
