actually there are many dangers and effects. These are the common ones, and there are short term effects and long term effects.
short term effects:
- Impaired memory and ability to learn
- Difficulties in thinking and problem solving
-Increases the heart rate in normal people and worsens heart rate in with heart disease or high blood pressure.
long term effects:
-It has the potential to promote cancer of the lungs and other parts of the respiratory tract because of the various carcinogens present in it.
-Smoking marijuana on regular basis increases the likelihood of developing cancer of the head or neck.
stop smoking fuckers!!!hahaha.

None. They are all myths.

Cigs however will kill you.

I would worry more about the alcohol and tobacco use than the marijuana. They are way more destructive.

your friends are thick stupid morons there u go simple

being lazy and stupid

Just look at me! Scared straight, I hope!

nothing mentally but it messes your lungs up over a looong period of time, but i wouldnt get to into because its expensive

It damages your lungs big time! Turns your teeth yellow and fingernails brown.

There just came out a study that lung cancer risks are much higher for those who smoke herb than those who smoke cigs.

Check out this site..I wouldn't buy too much into it though..I love to smoke and have for 10 years..I am healthy, happy and make close to 6 figures a year..http://www.nida.nih.gov/Infofacts/mariju...

For one, get better friends...short term effects....they are losers that do not value the life they were given. Long term...they are losers that didn't value their life once it was ended.

Alcohol hurts your liver, and can cause liver failure, but you have to drink A LOT, and do it often for anything serious.

Cigs can cause cancer and heart problems, but again you have to smoke them for a long time for this to happen.

Marijuana just hurts your lungs like cigs.

And they all make you dumber, especially weed.

Much as I support weed legalization, some of its backers are deluded about the dangers. Though less damaging than tobacco, it's absurd to claim that inhaling smoke all the time is harmless.

They're increasing their risk for certain cancers, and, if they're young, inhibiting the continued development of their brains.

i wouldnt worry too much about marijuana.... they use it for medice in some places so it cant be all that bad.

drinking is worse, it impares your ability way more..

smoking ciggs is bad.....

first you get really jumpy. also you get big eyes. like they are relly bigish like. they alsomight get itchy.

lol this question is going to get alot of debates and opinions...either you are apposed to weed smoke and think its soo bad for you,or you smoke weed and you see that its not as bad as drinking or cigs(esspecially if you used to do them all at one point) people that never smoked weed will tell you how bad they thin kit is and how stupid it makes you blah blah blah,i know doctors, lawyers, engineers and lots of teachers that smoke every day for 20 yrs and they are smart..my doctors opinion is weed smoke is far less worse then cig smoke, but again, all you will get is argueing and people opinions on here..ive smoked over 15 yrs(weed) i used to drink alot untill i strted smokeing alot, when i got drunk,i couldnt drive or act human, would get real violant, black out,get sick...none of that has ever happened from smokeing..im sure its not good for u in long run,but what is? breathing the polution outdoors will kill u some day,are we banning that? lol

Smoking pot often will cause your friends to become lazy -- doctors call it 'amotivational syndrome".

It has a lot to do with your age. Teenagers are more likely to make hasty decisions. Teens are less concerned with risk involved with their behavior. Therefore; the risk of teen parting is greater for that alone.
Alcohol consumption is like a poison that your liver fights off and eliminates from your body. The more you put in the harder your liver has to fight. You only get one liver and you need it.
Smoking cigarettes is hard on respiratory system. It has been linked to many diseases, cancer, asthma, COPD, emphysema, etc..
Smoking pot causes a euphoria in which NO ONE should drive a car or operate heavy machinery. Some may think they drive just fine high, but your judgment IS impaired and you may end up with some nasty consequences.
Heavy usage kills brain cells faster than they can be restored causing many problems such as: lack of motivation, memory loss, etc.. It can also intensify social and mental disorders. It is hard on your respiratory system if smoked frequently causing a lot of the same effects as cigarette smoke.
Oh yeah, and there is the risk of getting caught with it and spending time in the pokey.

Cigarettes are and have been proven worse on your system and lungs than marijuana. Marijuana has actually been proven to have many medical abilities for people with glocoma, cancer, sore limbs, brain tumors, etc. The issue is anything no matter what is never good in mass amounts. The effects of your friends continuing to abuse alcohol, cigs, and marijuana is a loss of their own sanity. The more you do something the more your body craves it. So unless they stop especially the alcohol they could end up alcoholics with more issues than just the body. The effects could span from them to their jobs, their relationships, and even you may get tired of the drama and stop spending so much time. The point is, I know you care about your friends but what effect is all this having on you?!

Marijuana:
-Some of the immediate effects are bloodshot eyes, a faster heartbeat, a dry mouth and throat, or acute panic anxiety reaction ( an extreme fear of losing control which causes panic and stress).
-Some of the long term effects are short term memory loss, a reduction of learning ability, chest colds, bronchitis, emphysema, and bronchial asthma.

Cigarettes:
have a harder time healing from surgery, have more overall health issues, illnesses last longer than average, tend to incur more medical costs, tend to stay longer and more often in a hospital then a non-smoker, and Periodontitis ( a serious gum disease that can result in teeth and bone loss)
