Question: The answer is a very strong YES.

Short Period Blood Sugar Time Curves Following Ingestion of Sucrose
I. M. Rabinowitch

Department of Metabolism, The Montreal General Hospital, Montreal, Canada

Blood sugar time curves were obtained at 1-minute intervals following ingestion of sucrose, in order to determine the rapidity with which this food is available as a source of energy, using the increase of blood sugar as the indication of absorption from the alimentary tract.

Of the ten experiments reported here, a definite increase of blood sugar was noted within 1 minute in two cases, within 2 minutes in two cases, within 3 minutes in three cases, within 4 minutes in two cases and within 5 minutes in the remaining case. "Emotional" hyperglycaemia was excluded as a possible cause of the increase of sugar noted in three experiments.

yes it will..

yes. I ate a hersey kiss 30 minutes before and you could tell on the results.

No. It takes time for you to digest something and for it to enter the blood.

Depends on why they are drawing blood..

The only thing it will affect is the sugar level in your blood.

Don't they usually tell you not to eat or drink atleast 12 hours before bloodwork?

your blood sugar levels will be significantly higher.

The only time it will affect your results is if you are having a test for diabetes or cholesterol. Both require fasting from midnight on. Other than that, it should have no ill effects

Depends what the blood test is for. if it's your sugar level then it will. did your doctor tell you if you should not eat anything before the test? because they normally tell you not to eat anything heavy for for example 10 hours before the test.

i dont think so, if there was a restriction on eating prior to your blood being drawn you would get instructions weather to fast or not

it depends on what the blood test is for.

your doctor should advise you on how to fast for the blood tests he/she have ordered.

thyroid tests and blood sugar tests will be thrown off if you do not fast at least 10hrs.

yes it will, it'll raise your blood sugar and insulin levels.

It depends on the test. Most tests require fasting, meaning, nothing to eat or drink for 12 hours before the test or it can change the results.

ask your docter, but yes probobly

only if they are drawing a blood glucose or cholesterol test.
