Sambucol Elderberry Syrup, Zinc lozenges & zinc tabs 50mg/day. Vit C 2000 mg every 2 hours.

take your weight divide in 1/2. That's the amt. of ounces of water you need a day. Gargle with very warm salt water 3-5 times/day. Gargle with Hydrogen Peroxide. It will feel weird because it gets real bubbly. Don't swallow.

Tea with honey & lemon.

Try regular Mucinex Take the highest dose allowed. The DM part may be working against the main ingredient: Guaifeisin

Honey and lemon in your tea works well. If it is a nagging cough after a cold, maybe you need to be checked, as it may be bronchitis or (worse) pneumonia.Any fever along with your cough and run to the dcr's

I've just gotten over that nasty flu bug and I hate to say it but you'll be hacking away for another week. I'm JUST now getting over the cough and I had the bug a over a week and a half ago.

Take Thera Flu and then before you go to bed at night a full tablespoon of honey will help to soothe your throat. Actually, the honey at any point will help but is really good before you go to sleep.

This is gonna sound like crap, but hear me out....

Chicken soup. The protien in chicken contains cystine, and amino acid similar to acetylcysteine, a drug that thins mucus and clears lungs.

Echinacea is good for infections by boosing the immune system. My personal experience is by using it for strep throat...knocks it out in no time without antibiotics.

Sage has been known to aid in the relief from coughs as well as honey. Honey coats the throat and helps with a sore throat if you have that as well. You didn't say, but if you've been coughing a lot, I'll hazard a guess....

Good luck...and get well :)

This is one I use have a small shot of straight whiskey it burns like heck ? but it does help then the hot tea with lemon
Good Luck
