It's usually stifled, so it's through the ears (got perforated ears).

if you sneeze through your nose, snot comes out. i try to sneeze through my mouth, and cover my mouth with my hand.

Dill Weed wonders what you mean by "where you are or who you are with" ??? You lost me on that one, but I say "achoo" and it comes out my mouth. If I try and push it out through my nose, it sounds different, more muffled...

It depends if you snuffle your sneeze or not. You sneeze to get dust and germs out of either your nose or throat so i suppose wherever the germs are is where you sneeze from.
