When in doubt always go for the biggest target, and anyway, if she doesn't drop the lead when she falls, you'll get the chance at the dog too.

Be aware that many people are like me... and CARRY A GUN in their car... and if they see you pointing a rifle at them and then hear the projectile hit their car... they aren't going to stop to see if it's just a BB before they are out of their car and COMING TO KILL YOU.
