Symptoms --- what can this be??!

Question: Yesterday, my boyfriend had a fever of 101.8, but then was all better by the end of the night (after taking tylenol, of course).
Today, he went to work (after I told him to stay home). He was 'ok' as he said, this morning, but then when he got home he was tired and went to sleep. When he woke up, he said his face feels hot, but his body is fine but is achy and that he feels slow. He said he took NyQuil and feels like knocking out again. So right now he's asleep.
I wanted him to take his temperature, but he can't b/c he doesn't have a thermometer and I can't take it, b/c I'm not physically with him [I'm at my house and he's at his].

I'm just concerned as to what is happening to him... Could this be a relapse?
Does anyone have any extra information??? Thanks.

not a relapse....Tylenol lowered his fever, that's why he felt better...Sounds like the flu, which needs to run it's course...Convince him to take some time off work and rest and drink a bunch of fluids...He will relapse if he doesn't get the rest he needs..

A relapse of what?

What would he be relapsing from?
