Why aren't there nutrition charts on the back of alcohol bottles?!

Question: What that all comes down to is the law. Foods are required to have the nutrition facts, with the composition of carbohydrates fats and proteins.

I've often had this same question, why aren't beers and hard liquors required? Maybe that law just hasn't passed yet and I would say that in the future that will change... but the only reason they wouldn't do it would be because they aren't required.

I have had alcoholic drinks, though, the sugary ones that were fruity and mixed with a lot of corn syrup.. those had nutritoin facts on them and I don't know if they were required to have them or not becuase i haven't seen them elsewhere. It was something that looked like a beer or cider but was really this really sweet mixed drink in a bottle that was mostly sugar and artificial flavors.

Because alcohol is not nutritious. Except for beer, that's all carbs. Red wine provides antioxidants, but hard liquor has no nutritional value other than sugar.

I've actually wondered about that as well....But then again...after a few...who really cares... :)
