Does anyone know of any lawsuits that I could join in on involving the use of th!

Question: I'm wondering if there is a class action suit, or a some kind of law suit that I could get in on to get the FDA to stop the administration of this evil, mind-altering, amnesiac drug. I was fine up until I had this given to me for an endoscopy in 1991. Ever since then, I've been a basket case. Anxiety attacks, depression, memory loss, amnesia (I didn't know who my children were for two WEEKS after the procedure!!!) I've written to the FDA asking them to ban this drug. If anyone has had similar bad reactions to this drug used for 'conscious sedation/twillight sleep' for medical procedures, PLEASE file a complaint online with the FDA. What is worse is that the Anestheiologist's try to lie about this drug by saying things like "you won't remember a thing, or this is to relax you." Never mentioning that this drug causes memory loss and all kinds of related problems in alot of patients after it's administered.

I have tried to find out how to sue the manufacturers of this drug and apparently it's so costly that attorneys are reluctant to try. However, I think that maybe we could get an audience with the proper Senate Commitee, especially in light of the FDA fiascos at this time! I would also welcome anybody to tell us how to get this done. At a bare minimum we should be informed as to the devastating side effects, and the amnesia properties in a separate "informed consent" as used to be done for "conscious sedation."

You just had a bad reaction to it. It works GREAT for most people. Not every medicine can be tested on every person. I've had it three times with no ill effects at all. Of course, it didn't put me to sleep either.

I don't think suing or having the drug banned because a few people had a bad reaction is good practice, especially when so many people have been given it without a problem. Think of the greater good and just put it in your medical records NOT to give you Versed anymore.

Versed may be good for a VERY small percentage of people, but the majority have had terrible after effects from this drug. Please read the web links that are attached to this posting if you want to hear the TRUTH about this evil, mind-altering drug that steals away your memory for ever and leaves you with anxiety and depression!!!!
