Weed is great why do people hate it?!
Question: marijuana has so many health benefits and yet it is illegal, Beer or alcohol in general has no medicinal purposes and kills people far more than weed(which is 0) i think if cigarretes are legal then why not weed? i finished school and have a great job, and smoke its not bad when in moderation. no?

hell ya im with you brother , weed makes you feel so happy it ups both your apatite and metabalizm so you stay skinny i think the only time weed should be ilegal is when your younger than 15 becouse it does slow brain development when your still growing but other than that it has no bad reactions other than feeling to good lol

I've said it before and I will say it again.
It's simply a mild analgesic and dulls the pain associated with things like chemotherapy and glaucoma.
Other than that; there are no other medicinal purposes for marijuana. It won't cure you of anything; or get rid of your glaucoma. Plus; what you're doing to your body by simply smoking the stuff (whether it's from a scrip or not) isn't worth it.
Deadbeat hippies ruined the image of pot forever. Alcohol does have some medicinal purposes though...ie: cough syrup, rubbing alcohol etc.... It's illegal because the government makes too much money keeping it illegal. They would prolly lose 1/2 there funding if it was legal.

I think it should be legal! just not the artards that smoke and then want to drive, like drunk people. I don't get that why is alcohol legal and not pot does the same **** plus alcohol is way worse. What's wrong with smoking alittle after work to relax and sleep. I would if it wasn't illegal.
Many reasons. As a pothead i can say it does have negative effects for the everyday smoker. Forgetfulness, laziness, low motivation are just some of the bad effects ive experienced. these effects are detromental to a young person's life who is trying to study for school, college or starting off in a new job. I know some HEAVY smokers who have gotten pretty paranoid and have had serious mental issues, but this tends to happend to ppl who ABUSE it. If u treat it the same as alcahol and use in moderation side effects are practically non-existent but many people havent got the common sense to treat it responsibly. another reason is because tons of weed come from S.America and The Man doesnt like to see any money leaving the country. As for terminally ill patients, theres no doubt they should be allowed as much weed as they want. Apart from the positive physical effects on the muscular,nervous and digestive system, coming to terms with the fact that you are dying can be achieved easier in a peaceful, medatative state, which is more effective than using antidepressants or painkillers
