What could cause - sharp chest pain when inhaling?!

Question: Sometimes Iget a sharp chest pain when I inhale air. It is so sharp that I can't breathe in all the way, only half way. I have to take short breaths until the pain goes away. What's causing this? I'm in my late 20s and I didn't eat anything today at all (so I know it's nothing I ate). TY.

its an air bubble! i get it sometimes. usually it goes away. its from gas trapped inside.

I would suggest you see your GP, there are tests they can do to check your lung capacity etc. I am not a doctor, but I would not ignore your problem, as our body usually lets us know when something is not quite right.

I would suggest to go to the pulmonologist which is a lung doctor because it could be something serious and you dont want anything bad to happen. There are a few things that can do that also though, you could possibly have asthma and not know it i have it and i get sharp pains sometimes but it will help you if you get an inhaler, also if you have ever had pnemonia you can have lung tissue scaring which also could cause sharp pain's, and lastly you could have just ran too much and overworked your lungs and then you just need to rest. Hope this helped.
