Digestive Problem?!

Question: I have this condition where my lower abdomen distends every time after I eat or drink, within minutes. This is accompanied by a lot of gas which I can feel moving around in my stomach. It makes my stomach feel tight and sometimes it is painful. I pass a lot of gas, way more than what is normal. My stomach stays distended for several hours and usually "resets" at night. All this is very uncomfortable because my clothes don't fit whenever I eat.

I'm a 20 year old female, my diet is healthy. I don't eat fatty foods and I'm vegetarian. My symptoms occur no matter what I eat.

I've seen several different doctors and none of them take me seriously. I saw a gastroenterologist who told me this was normal. I was wondering if any of you know what condition this could be, or what I should do about it? This is really affecting me and I've been dealing with an eating disorder because my condition makes me uncomfortable with myself. Thanks in advance.

Ah, you're talking to the queen of digestive problems. I suggest you try a product called Digestive Advantage for Irritable Bowel. You can buy it on line without a prescription. There are chewables and tablets, I've had more success with the tablets. Start with one a day, but you can take more until your bloating problems start to subside. You may have the beginnings of gall bladder disease, or the beginnings of irritable bowel. Irritable bowel can manifest itself as either diarrhea or constipation, both with accompanying bloating and pain. I urge you to try the medicine. It is the only thing that really gave me some relief. Good luck.

maybe lactoce intolerant...take two lactaid tablets with a meal.see what happens..............

being as you are a vegatarian..if you are eating a lot of uncooked vegatables..this could be the problem..uncooked veggies have a lot of folic acids in them..small amounts of red vinegar with the veggies may help
