I have a SERIOUS PROBLEM any suggestions HELP???!

Question: My grandmother was recently put in the hospital becasue we could not get her to stop vomiting and stuff. Turns out she has a urinary tract infection and A VIRUS a highly contagious one at that. My grandmother is better now as we took her to the hospital 4 days ago however my mom yesterday was vomiting and had diarrhea (she thought she was going to pass out it got so bad) tonight she is BETTER but still somewhat sick here at home. My uncle also saw my grandmother 2 days ago in the hospital and kissed her cheek gently to be nice. This morning my mom called my uncle and just as she called (remember she is sick too) my uncle ron said yeah I am sick as a dog and he vomited right while she was on the phone he said he felt better and assumed he got it from my grandma he also said HE PASSED OUT though during the night it got so bad. TONIGHT I AM NOW STARTING to have stomach pains and nausea it's like it's coming and IDK what to do any ideas? it's no surprise but I am so confused. scary

Sounds like Grandma gave everyone a bad virus. Not much you can do but let it run its course. Treat yourself as you would if you had the flu. Lots of liquids, light foods like crackers, bouillon, fat free broths (not Campbell's chicken soup if you are vomiting) Tylenol may help the stomach pains but you are probably getting diarrhea. At least it doesn't sound like it is lasting long. Hope you feel better soon.

It is a virus and will therefore pass, but in the meantime you should drink plenty of liquids and try to stay as comfortable as possible.

RELAX!
Dont work yourself up.
Older folks (like your Gma) and young children react different to virus' at times. They can be a lot harder on them.
Drink alot of fluids so you wont dehydrate. Go on what we call the "BRAT" diet, Banana's Rice, Applesauce, Toast that will help with some of the diarrhea. If you begin to run a temp that lasts more than 24hrs, or have any blood in your stool, I'd say be checked out.. but other than that, it's a virus, let it do it's thing.. wash your hands alot and that's all you can do.
Be healthy soon!

immediately go to the docor and get checked out follow the doctors directions and instructions!!! urinary tract infections can be treated with anti-biotics and a doctors care. cranberry juice(just cranberry! not mixed such as cran-apple) also helps with UTI'S .something this serious should not be ignored! vomiting can lead to more problems such as dehydration etc. as far as the virus goes your doctor will recommend things to make you more comfortable. VERY IMPORTANT TO CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR!

then clean your home with bleach to help disinfect your home(door handles, phone receivers and buttons, remotes etc...) then from now on take precautions when visiting a member of your family that is ill, wear a face mask while visiting and rubber gloves(you can become infected through small cuts/nicks) avoid touching eyes and nose as this is the most common way germs are transferred. when leaving the infected person throw out(do not reuse!!!!! the gloves and face mask!!!! re-use could cause transfer of the virus/bacteria) immediately wash your hands all the way up to your elbows with warm water and soap for 60 seconds to ensure you properly cleanse/disinfect your hands.

*read/follow directions on bleach bottle and avoid splashing to avoid damage to carpet/clothes etc.
