Throat scratched up, what to do?!

Question: i had a fever for around 4 days, and woke up this morning and the fever had gone away, but i have a problem. It hurts to swallow, eat oranges/other citrus fruits, etc.., because during the fever i had a hacking cough, so my throat is scratched and dry, anyone know a way to speed up the healing process? (my throat, not the fever)

throat lozenges help, have stuff like chicken broth that will soothe your throat stay away from citrus that just aggravates it also stay away from dairy makes you phelmy hope you feel better soon

Could it be strep throat?
It kinda sounds like it.
Maybe see a doctor.
For now, try taking some over the counter flu stuff and some nasty numbing throat spray.

eat cough drops that will numb your throat. their great! and drink tea. It will help so much.

honey eucalyptis(sp?) water.

it works for me.

the honey seems to coat your throat and the eucalyptis soothes it.

or you can drink peppermint tea with honey in it

Try to gargle with warm salt water. It will speed up the healing .
