It can happen out of the blue and for no apparent reason. It usually happens because you have some sort of sinus disturbance going on. This type does not last long though. If it happens often and lasts more that a minute or two at a time, you should tell your doctor.
It means someone is tuning in on your brainwaves and is reading your mind! Just kidding.
Probably Tinnitus or an impending ear infection. Try cleaning your ears out and/or see the doc.
It usually means that you are listening to music too loudly in head phones.
