Not necessarily. People have various postures, rituals, etc. to help them think, however for the most part the effect is psychological. Whatever works best for you, whether it is crouching (which does not affect blood flow into the brain), walking (which does), or listening to a particular song or doing a shotokan kata (sequence of martial arts movements, in this case shotokan, to prepare the mind, body, and spirit for action).
