because your saliva can't break it down and the cinnamon floats around in your mouth and gets sucked into your lungs which in turn causes extreme pain and you throw up from the choking of the cinnamon staying in your mouth and throat.

it doesn't..?

it just made me like nearly choke to death...

a possible result my friends obviously didn't seem to care about when daring me to do it...

Try taking it with a spoonful of sugar... it helps the medicine go down.

A spoonful on cinnamon in your morning tea or on your breakfast bun would be really nice, though.

Maybe you just don't like it. It's never had that effect on me. However you shouldn't really eat a spoonful it's ment to be used sparingly in recipies etc. Example you wouldn't eat a spoon of salt you just add a bit to stuff cinamon is similar.

Try getting a teaspoon of cinnamon per day in your diet. I don't see how you could ever take it by itself and all at once.

Studies have shown that a teaspoon per day helped type II diabetics reduce their blood sugar levels (which is important in all people), LDL levels, Triglycerides and total cholesterol.

Cinnamon tastes good to most people and can help keep you healthy.
