this happens to me all the time. it is basically because your throat is dry. if it continues to hurt for more than 4 days then i would see a doctor.
Maybe it was just a sore throat. Strep throat usually comes with other side effects and symptoms.
Maybe you were dehydrated. Did you go drinking last night? That dries out your system.
Strep usually includes white pus on tonsils; fever; pain
check your tonsils for white spots and a fever...you probably do.Go to a doctor,that stuff is contagious !
