Age related hearing loss is called presbycusis (use this term to search), is not a single disease, but a category for the cumulative effects of aging on the ears. In most cases, hearing loss begins after age 60, and is usually more noticeable in men than women. Both ears are affected. It is typically harder to hear high-pitched tones (women's voices, violins) than low-pitched ones (men's voices, bass guitar). Because this usually occurs gradually over a period of years, the person may not realize that he or she has difficulty hearing. A family member may bring the problem to the person's attention.
In general, the risk of hearing loss increases with age. Between 24% and 40% of adults over age 65 have difficulty hearing. Thirty percent of people over age 85 are deaf in at least one ear.

sometimes happens around the age of 26

55 male 65 female

what?!
speak up please

Well, I'm 26 and I have had hearing problems since I was about 16. I don't know what has caused them but hearing problems don't effect an age group...

Anyone at any time can have hearing problems

at certan ages like 50 you start to get hearing loss and 5 10ths of all the people in the world get hering loss i think
hope i help

there's no certain age to lose hearing. some are born without being able to hear anything. some lose their hearing from disease or from listening to loud music. some lose it from loud noises at work. ear infections can cause hearing loss.

There isn't any one time that hearing loss happens because hearing loss happens for alot of different reasons.
