How can I get up and get to school?!

Question: I have a huge problem getting up for school, and miss nearly all of my morning classes. I suffer from depression and don't have much motivation, so it's too easy for me to just fall asleep again after my alarm goes off. I desperately need help - how can I get myself out of bed?

You need to be on an antidepressant or combo of meds.
See a professional social worker or psychologist to talk about the issues that have caused you to be depressed & let them help be your motivation.

In the meantime, is there anyone else at home who can wake you up?

Put your alarm clock across the room so you have to get out of bed to turn it off.
Go to sleep earlier.
Go to sleep in your clothes, get up & go to school.
Have a friend call you in the AM & don't get off the phone till you are out of bed.
Think about failing your classes, do you really want that to happen?
Get up & go to sleep same time every day including weekends.

Good luck to you

you might see a doctor about your depression, maybe there's an anti-depressant that can help you out.millions of people have to take it.

try thinkin about it in a positive way.
like for example, "what can going to school do for me?" vs. "what can staying asleep do for me?"
so if you have a positive motive for getting up everyday, things will go easier..=]]

life sucks, get a frickin helmet. get your *** out of bed and deal with the real world like everyone else.

Force yourself to get up. One of the "cures" for depression is activity. If you are not on medication- ask about it. If you are, get it adjusted. It's not working properly. Good luck to you!

Get medication, and think about all the kids who want to go to school and can't. You have to make your self understand that you are one of a kind and unique unto your self. Get out there and show the word who you are and what you are about!! Learn, learn, learn. Good luck and I'll be watching your progress.
