Aging: should we expect every year to be worse than the last? How does aging wor!

Question: Should we expect every year to be a tad bit worse than the last? A little more sagging here, a little more haggard there, OR is aging more gradual, and unpredictable and we can look young for several years, and look way younger than we really are, and then it can suddenly hit out of nowhere?

How does aging really work? Is it all basically genetics?

And if so, can we do anything to modify, alter, or enhance our lives, and prevent genetic defects from interfering with our lives?

Should we all just accept aging, or are there ways to make it smoother, better, and what not?

Modern medicine and science tends to be focused more on curing disease rather than prevention.

Aging is just a part of life. Its not about how old you look. Its about how old you feel. As long as you live life with a positive attitude, then you can live a very long, happy, healthy life. If you become obsessed over trying to stop the aging process, then you will never be happy because there will always be people who are younger, and you will want to look younger also. I think it has to do with genetics whether or not you age gracefully or quickly. It also has to do with your life style. Eat healthy, exercise, drink lots of water and don't smoke!

You know, people are 99.9 per cent the same. We comprise of skin, bones, blood, organs, hair, water etc. Yet in developed society the focus is on that 00.1 per cent. Crazy isn't it.
Just enjoy life.

Other genes are known to affect the aging process, the sirtuin family of genes have been shown to have a significant effect on the lifespan of yeast and....

well, it depends on how you view ageing, lots of old people enjoy life and put their pains as a second to their enjoyment, unless its a grumpy old person

i agree with you it is scary but u should except aging it is a part of live and like people say live, love, laugh and treat every day like it was your last. I also agree that scientist are really worried about to cure it except for preventing it because it you prevent something from happening then its easier to find the cure. i hope this was all help
