Do ear lobe piercings hurt?!

Question: Do they hurt as much as a pinch?

And how did you get it done? wiht a gun?

It feels like a little sting that lasts a second or less. Like everyone else says, it's the throbbing & soreness afterward that will bug you more. They're not horribly painful though, just annoying.

Also, please do not get pierced with a gun. Go to a real piercer & get it done with needles. Guns cannot be properly sterilized, so it is possible that they carry blood-born pathogens. If you get it done professionally, the piercer will use a sterilized one-time use needle. Guns also pierce through your skin differently than needles. Needles push through smoothly & slower, whereas guns force the earrings into your ears quickly & roughly making it harder to heal them & making them more prone to infection. Also, piercers who use guns (i.e.- people at the mall) are not given the extensive training on piercings that professionals who use needles are given. Yes, it costs more to go have it done by a professional, but it is worth it to have a smooth piercing that will heal nicely done by someone who is an expert, & not have to worry about catching something from the person who the gun was used on before you.

They do it with a gun, it's just a quick OUCH, just a pinch, like getting a shot, it'll throb for a second then go away. You probably won't feel it much after that, it might be a little warm, and try not to lay on the, and in a couple days you won't even notice it.

pain is relative

no it doesnt hurt! :)

just abit of a shock then its over. and yeah i got it done with a gun.

get 'em done! they look good! :)

Yes, they hurt about as much as a bad pinch and then they feel really hot for a few minutes. Then they are sore for about a week.

Yes, I got mine pierced with a gun - 2 piercings in each ear.

Not as much as piercing your downtown wonderland

I heard its the most painfull thing a human can experience...

It's a little more than a pinch, it hurts for maybe 5 10 minutes afterward but it's nothing bad. I heard needles are better than guns.

I really didn't think it hurt at all. I got it done with a gun. I did feel something, not quite like a pinch, but it didn't hurt any more than a really hard pinch. What hurts is afterwards when it kind of throbs hot, but that is more annoying than painful. Ultimately the pain goes away and it is worth it!

With a gun :)

Well it's not going to be un painful.

The word for it is stings :)

for about 2 seconds!

Try getting your tragus pieced now thats painful!

it could hurt a little but u'll barely feel it cuz it's so fast. everything happens in less than a split second. however it will feel really warm afterwards

they are a pinch and yes an ear piercing gun all they do is attacth the earing to the gun CA POW ure ears are pierced in 123 seconds dont be scurred its better than a cartilage ear piercing now that i must tell you beware!=)

Hey girl, I was very scared to get my ear piercing the very first time. I got so scared that I fainted. And, that's all because I saw my sister's gun getting stuck on her ear and all the blood. But, don't let that make you afraid. You see, you have to remember that when you get them.. don't be too afraid. Because if you see something you don't like, you'll faint because your panicking too hard. Like I was. Ear piercings do not hurt and yes, they use a gun. It's fast and it feels like a big pinch, that's all. You'll feel your ears burning afterwards but.. that's okay. It goes away since it's winter and your ears will feel numbed. I also got my second one done so now I have four piercings ;) It's not bad. Go ahead and get one done!
