Caffeine withdrawals?!

Question: I'm trying to wean myself off of caffeine because I have a major anxiety problem and the caffeine is making the heart palpitations worse. The problem is, I am use to having several caffeine drinks every day and I get terrible headaches if I don't have caffeine. How long does it take to get over caffeine withdrawals and what can I do to not be so miserable while weaning myself off. Sounds like a dumb problem but I really need help!

What I would do is slowly wean myself off of caffeine. However many caffeinated drinks you have a day, cut that number in half for the first couple of days. After about 3 days, cut that number in half. Also, you could try to have something that is still caffeinated, but a little less than what you have. I find tea to be milder than coffee. Also, drink a lot of water, that will help.

i suggest excedrin migraine for caffeine withdrawls. if you drink lots of water it'll get rid of the symptoms faster.

Normally it takes about a week to completly get yourself off it. But, if you are having anxiety attacks I would go se someone. I use to get those all the time and found out I have other problems. But, it wil take a few days. Just give it time and I know it sucks. But, I promise that it gets better.

When I stop drinking caffeine, it usually takes a few days to get over the withdrawals... stock up on pain medicine... then when I start up again, I get headaches all over again.

It's just a few days for the withdrawals. (Mentally, it may take longer to adjust). You can try decaf to ween off of it, it has a small amount of caffeine.
