Why is mixing crack cocaine and heroin bad?!

Question: I heard from a lot of people and sources that when you smoke crack and then shoot some heroin, it's really bad and lethal because heroin slows down the heart rate and cocaine increases it. How is that bad? Isn't it supposed to be the opposite? I mean if cocaine increases heart rate and heroin decreases it then that's supposed to be ok, isnt it? Like it's a balance, and the heart rate remains normal. I dont know i just couldnt really make sense out of it. Hope someone can help me xx

mixing heroin and cocaine (speedball) is definitely lethal. I've known people who have died this way. Yes, coke speeds up the heart and heroin slows it, but it's not a balancing act. It only confuses ones body & many many people die this way.

i'm not sure the science of it, but it is very lethal. That goes the same for any uppers and downers. People who do coke try to take pills to sleep and they never wake up. I guess there is too much stress on the heart, maybe it "gets confused" because the coke speeds you up then the sleeping pill slows you down. Don't ever mix uppers and downers.

Let me see.........crack is bad, herion is bad so yes, mixing would be bad.

did you really need an answer to why mixing drugs is bad. using drugs is not very smart.

You gotta be kidding? that makes as much
sence as asking same question about cynide
&
streictnine, they'll both kill ya!!

You could ask John Belushi, but sorry he's dead from mixing cocaine and heroin...it's called a speedball and it can kill ya quick....one speeds up your heart and the other slows it which is very traumatic and sometimes the heart just can't take it.....especially if you do it over & over again....not a good idea, long term....it's deadly...
