Answers: Certainly is! Especially tension headaches. Massage onto your temples and wipe a bit under your nose.

No, it's never given me a headache!

it is very good also tiger balm is great on the temples

My grandmother thinks so!
A few drops of lavenderoil on your pillow helps when you go to bed with a slight headache.

Actually there's no scientific proof that this helps. But! Just like medicine, it's doesn't heal you, merely takes away the natural body reactions or symptoms of that particular complaint.
Lavender you could say helps since the fragrance given off , sets off the receptors in the brain. And since this is a soothing fragrance gives you the illusion that your headache is just that bit lighter. Just like giving someone a beer but not telling them it's a non alcohol. They will still feel merry in general.
So my conclusion is yes lavender does help.

Aromatherapy can take the edge off a lot of ailments.
For headaches, peppermint helps. Lavender helps for relaxation. I've used aromatherapy a lot in the past and although it doesn't completely eliminate the headache, it definitely helps take the edge off.
