Ambien CR side effects? Help?!?!
Question: I was wondering if anyone has experienced any of the side effects of Ambien CR. I have heard and read of it causing sleep-driving, people eating, having sex...and not remembering any of this. I just wanted to know if anyone has actually experienced this. I just got a prescription today for ambien cr because rozerum wasn't working for me! Thanks for any help!!

Tulips, I have tried many sleep drugs for my insomnia. Like most drugs, Ambien works great for some, not so great for others. Everyones body chemistry is different. I hope it works for you. A few days without sleep and you become dangerous to yourself and to others.
My side effects with Ambien included feeling "drugged" or light-headed during the day. The amnesia or forgetfulness usually comes if you don't get 8+ hours of sleep after taking the drug. I also had some really "vivid" dreams (as they like to call them). I could recall a vast amount of details, colors, etc. in my dreams - a unique side effect, and one that I actually found very enjoyable.
The regular Ambien worked slightly better for me (instead of the controlled release), but I am currently off of all sleep drugs (thus here I am on the computer at 3:30am est).
As with all these types of "hypnotic" drugs, got to watch for depressed mood, thoughts of hurting yourself, unusual risk-taking behavior, decreased inhibitions, no fear of danger, aggression, feeling agitated, hallucinations, confusion, loss of personality, etc.

Stick to Unisom. Its a lot safer and knocks me out when I need to!
I have been using Ambien CR for over a year and I can tell you that I have never experienced sleep-driving. I have discovered after waking the next morning that I don't remember eating a snack or having sex. Its kinda scary at first, but I've learned to be in the right frame of mind when I start to drift off. I have been able to not eat after it kicks in. As far as the sex goes, I have a loving husband who doesn't take advantage of the situation, When it first happened he could describe what happened and at first I would remember nothing. But the more he talked the more I remembered. For me, this is a side effect that I am comfortable dealing with. The offset was staying awake for months at a time. Believe me, Ambien is still the better choice.
I have taken and still do sometimes Take Amibian , but not the CR kind just the regular kind. But anyways the effects I have from that Is I will get A bad stomach ache , sometimes , not always. And I have A hard time Waking up the next day. But I wold imagine it would be harder when it goes in your system all night long. So I wold try it on A weekend just to make sure you know how the side effects are. Another reason I don't Like long acting is because If I don't Handel it very good , it doesn't go out of your system as fast it stays in the system longer.
By the way what you are talking about Is on this Site I would take A look at it before you Take it. And it talks about Ambian doing Sleep Driving and Sleep Eating , and even Sleep Suicide , So look at this first.
