Should... When I have the flu?!

Question: Should I be eating ramen when I have the flu? If not then what should I eat?

My mama always said to drink lots of chilled fluids - not hot stuff (I guess those ramen noddle cuppy things would be considered hot). I like to drink iced tea, with lots of ice. I even suck on the ice cubes and sometimes chew them (against my dentists advice).
Now be careful, cause if you were to choke on an ice cube, simply pour a cup of boiling water down your throat. Presto! The blockage will instantly remove itself. But then that would be drinking hot stuff, which mama says only prolongs the flu.
And do you have a cough? Cause if you have a really bad cough, mama said never to take a large dose of laxatives. Also, check your blood pressure - if it is high then simply cut yourself and bleed for a few minutes, thus reducing the pressure in your veins (remember to use a timer). :)
Seriously, don't eat ramen - probably too spicy. But you could eat lots of jello, flat Seven-Up or Sprite, saltine crackers, dry toast, oatmeal, rice pudding - things that go easy on the digestive system.

Actually, that's a pretty good thing to eat with the flu, assuming you don't have a problem with sodium in your diet. There is little fat to upset your stomach, lots of liquids in it, and, if it tastes good to you then it's OK. As you feel better make sure you get some protein too. Chicken noodle soup maybe?

No harm...drink warm milk...plenty of water....any kind of soup
