Sleep is vital for a healthy immune system. If you're not getting enough sleep your immune system isn't at its best, and you're more susceptible to illness and infection.

well your immune system weakens i dont know if there is certain symptoms besides headaches that are more common than other ones

not directly from not getting enough sleep but it sure can weaken your immune system

Yes. Sleep deprivation can cause a decrease in the effectiveness of your immune system, and cause you to get sick.

yes you can get sick from not getting enough sleep. not getting enough sleep runs down your immune system.

Well sure. One of the reasons for sleep is so that your body has time to regenerate properly.
But it sounds like your friend may have the flu bug.

NO, you get sick from viruses and bacteria. With that said sleeping does help your immune system regenerate, and with lack of sleep your immune system won't be able to fight off sickness as easily. Furthermore, lack of sleep can cause lots of other "problems" with the human body such as going crazy and seeing warlocks in your cereal.

If what Felicia A said was true hat your immune system weakens, that exposes you for germs and stuff like that. So therfore you could get sick

i know that you can become very stressed out...and stress can cause illness

Yes,deff.

sleeping less does not cause illness directly but it does lower your immune system and then you can pick up viruses much easier.

I don't know about stomach pains, but I have epilepsy and lack of sleep is one of the biggest triggers for my seizures.
