How can I help my car sickness?!

Question: I have never had any kind of motion sickness before but for about the past 3-4 months I get really car sick when I am riding in the car (passenger seat) Its not everytime though, its kinda random. It gets really bad about a week before my period, but the car sickness can come at any time during the month. I dont get sick when i'm the one driving though.

Its strange, I get sick when the car is moving but if we stop at a red light I feel better once we are completely stopped. This gets really annoying because 99% of the time I am the passenger because my fiance gets car sick when being the passenger too.

What meds can I take? Have you found any that work? And since I get the car sickness randomly should I just take the med everytime I go somewhere? (because I know it takes a bit for some to start to work) Thanks!

Aww, I sure hope you feel better. Anyways, the medicine that you can take is called Dramamine. You can purchase this at any pharmacy or supermarkets. Pathmark for example. Cvs, Walgreens, Walmart, Target, Rite-Aid all carry it. It's a very helpful pill and works very good. You take it an hour before you go on your flight. My grandma takes Dramamine too and it woks real good on her. Highly recommended! Now, you and your fiance can both have a smooth ride :)

Dramamine

Try taking 'dramamine' start in small doses and work up to where you don't get nauseated any more. It will make you drowsy, so be sure you are a passenger until you know how much you can take. If this doesn't work then you should see a doctor for possible other problems.

ginger, make sure it is real not artificial, you can drink ginger ale to get the effects or they make pills and losenges. Or dramamine, but that can make you sleepy and probably bad for common use.

You can try Dramamine, but it may make you sleepy. Try focusing on something far away. It sounds silly but it works.
