I believe it's addictive. I think what you described is withdrawal symptoms.

Some things you can do to take a break from marijuana:
writing a daily log of events
listening to music
taking walks
hanging out with someone who doesn't use marijuana
remind yourself to think positive
set an goal to achieve (an period of time to quit)
tell others what you are doing for yourself.

Instead of smoking marijuana you two could do other things that won't harm either of you. When you're alone and craving you can also plug into a creative outlet--journaling, art, music, dance, photography, scrapbooking. You could go for a long walk to clear your mind, have a gabfest with some friends, exercise, put together a puzzle--anything to keep your mind busy. You don't have to waste time being addicted to any drug when there's so much living you can do.

No, Marijuana is not physically addictive. It is mentally, but not physically. If anything, I would say the pot is causing the problems. Quit smoking it.

get some help sweety. Pot is addictive and don't let anyone tell you that it is not. My sister has a pot problem. Thank God she started going to na meetings.

You are probably just sick. You might wear down your health by being high all the time and you just feel it when your sober. Also, the lack of exercise might have you out of shape so that you are not use to physical activity. Mary Jane does not cause those symptoms.

You are addicted to pot. The feelings you have are withdrawal symptoms from not getting the "high".

Dump the peer preasure and find a fella who doesn't need mj to make him "happy". It's not good for you and he's not either. Anything that will coat your lungs in tar is just plain not good!

Good luck.

Stop smoking for a week or more and see if the same symptoms are still present. If so there is something else wrong with you. Perhaps you don't eat enough, sleep enough or get enough exercise. I am taking an educated guess it is all three. Smoking pot doesn't cause a fever, probably a headache and a stomach ache from not eating or laughing too much though.

First of all, being a healthcare professional, I can tell you that fever is the first sign of some sort of infection whether it is bacterial or viral. I do not believe this has anything to do with marijuana withdrawals. Marijuana is NOT physically addictive! It is mentally addictive. It is a habit. It could very well be something else. You may have caught the flu-bug going around. I smoked marijuana chronically all through high school and college. I quit a few times during that time. The symptoms I experienced the most were irritabilty and anxiety. I had some trouble sleeping, but that quickly passed. Marijuana has such a bad rep. Everyone assumes that people who smoke marijuana are lazy, losers. I managed to maintain a 3.5 GPA all through college, raise a beautiful little boy and maintain a household. Not all users are alike. I was no different than the parent next door who drank or the lady down the street that smoked cigarettes. A drug is a drug is a drug, right?
