I have a large bump that feels like bone (size of softball) at the base of my be!
Question: I am 22 female and at the top of my spine where it joins my neck is a big hump that is hard like bone. I just started noticing it in the past year or two and now it is fairly prominant when I stand normally....I look like a hunchback. My mom says it could be from bad posture and cartilidge may have built at the top of my spine....please help, I am very self concious.

There are so many possibilities as to the hump is, the only way you will every know for sure is to go the doctor. Even if it isnt something because of the location where you describe the hump, near your spine its important to get it looked at. It could be something as small as a problem as a cyst, or it could be some growth. Get it looked at by a professional!!
SEE A NEUROLOGIST. Could be many things which most are serious.
I don't know what it is but I think you should see a doctor.
