I've smoked bowls/joints before, but i've never smoked a bong...?!
Question: i'm going to the house of a guy i really like, and we'll probably smoke a bong. he knows that i smoke, so he probably expects me to know how to smoke one. i know how it works - i'm pretty sure i can handle it? or do you think i'll make an idiot out of myself??

A carburetor hole is located near the bottom of the bong, below the water line. You keep your thumb over this hole when your first start to inhale a hit, but then release it and suck out the rest of the smoke. (The hole allows air to enter the bong cylinder and allows you to clear the smoke)
By the way, you put your mouth over the opening of the bong cylinder tightly (not with your lips, but pressed against your face).
There is no carb, just pull out the bowl assembly to let the air in. It ain't no big deal, darlin'.

sometimes it'sa bowl slide or the carb is on the back or front it varies. dont tilt the bong hold it strait you dont wanna spill the bong water.

As a new user, inhale lightly. The carburator is on different places on different bongs, some don't have one, you just slip up the bowl. It's always ok to ask where is the carb. A bong is always my preference of a smoking device. You'll be fine.
