Tricks on not being sleepy in the middle of the day?!


Question: I work sitting, on a computer, all day. I do not drink coffee and caffeine does not seem to help me (have i become immune? haha). Are there any other tricks that anyone knows that can help me snap out of it around 2 or 3 in the middle of the afternoon? I get enough sleep at night, I think it's just my monotonous job. I do get up and stretch and do other things, but the sleepiness comes back!! will sugar help? or will that make me crash more?? okay thanks.

Fresh cold air outside usually does the trick for me, if that don't work, slap some snow in your face.

Sugar will help, but you'll eventually become even more tired.

If you start feeling tired, take a few deep breaths, and it'll send oxygen to your brain so you won't yawn so much.

Maybe chew gum, it works on me to stay awake, because it keeps me occupied on chewing it.

Your blood sugar is down. Take granola bars with you. A banana would be good too. That'll work. You'll see! Good luck! :)

a brisk 20 minute walk during my Lunch hour helps me!!

This is normal in other coutries they take naps, We should also. Take a nap there is nothing medically wrong, so if you can't take a nap, just remember your not sick.

I take a lunchtime nap nearly everyday for 20-30 minutes. It helps! Maybe try some green tea in the afternoon or get up from your desk and do some interpretive dance for your co-workers!
