Concerned about my husband's weight?!

Question: I hate to be even asking this, because he's a really great guy & I'll always love him, no matter what, and I fell in love him based on who he is, not what he looks like.

But the thing is, he's about 125 pounds overweight. He doesn't have any health problems now, but I'm worried that he will in the future. We're both in our mid-20's, but he doesn't have nearly as much energy as I do, and his back hurts alot (he thinks it's because of his weight). I know he hates being as big as he is, and he complains about it alot. He keeps saying he wants to lose weight, but he's not doing much to make it happen.

It's getting to the point where I'm becoming less attracted to him due to worrying all the time. I'm worried that he's not gonna live as long as he should, and that he's gonna pass on his habits to our future children.... I have no idea how to talk to him about this, because I love him so much and don't want to insult him. Any ideas???

You cook the food, change your eating habits you can start planning low calories meals that will work for the both of you, take time and exercise together walks and stuff like that, if you love him talk to him about your concerns and move forward together, if you work at it together you can get that weight down.

**** G thats tyght..buut thats tought to,maybe you should sit down have a chat with gim give him some ideas and say you want to help him out

Time to tell him to get serious? 100 lbs ago! You love him? Both of you get some balls! You've described my wife's best friend's husband who died at 47 -- he'd started a diet 3 months earlier. Jack didn't have any health problems either until his heart stopped -- it just said, 'screw this!'

The only thing you can really do is cook very healthy low calorie foods. Foods that make him feel full and make him feel as if he has eaten enough. He needs to stop eating all wheat products. Foods from the meat groups have to be supplemented with lots of vegetables and fruits. He can't be cheating though with snacks. You would need to start taking walks with him nearly every day of the week. Nothing drastic will work. It is just creating a new lifestyle.
