Why do I want to smoke marijuana even though i get depressed when im high?!

Question: I used to enjoy smoking marijuana, but the past few months I havent had the same kinds of highs as before. Now everytime I smoke, I usually just get sad and depressed. Even though I realize the results of when I smoke, I usually want to do it anyway. Why do i keep going back when I know it will only be negative results? Thanks

If I had to guess I'd say it's because you have no hobbies. Really, get interested in something, preferably something group oriented like outdoors clubs, dancing, music, working out, school, art...

In the long run you'll be much happier. Do you want to look back at your life at all the things you didn't do or all the things you did do?

PS: I smoke occasionally, but when I was young I smoked a lot until I developed some interests. Then it just kind of faded away because I had so much else to do. I think I was just bored. The problem is that it starts to feed on itself and made me stupid, paranoid, and depressed. Trust me, you'll feel a lot better if you find something else to do and go do it.

Just Stop doing it, you really don't want to be depressed and down right stupid, do you... I mean alot of times it also depends on which kind you get, some of it is different than others... ya know...

lol its a drug...need to know more?? Just stop if your THAT hooked on bud then you def have a prob..And Its not getting you AS high because your body has become dependant and use to it and now you need more to get the same high-its the same with any other drug...

cuz ur a pothead?...seriously, lay off that stuff

Because you are addicted!!!!!!!!
Get help,go to rehab or just talk with someone you trust.

Smoking pot is addictive. It starts out fun for everyone and then the fun is replaced by undesirable side effects. Lots of my friends had to stop because of the dark feelings. I can't smoke pot anymore without getting a lung infection. I had to stop. You have to stop too. It feels great and I love it but it is a poison.

That happened to me too...

For the longest time I used it 2x a month as the only relaxing evenings of the month but after a while it started giving me panic attacks... Now I can't use it anymore...

My mother was an alcoholic so I don't drink and now I'm stuck with no way to unwind... I keep hopeing that when I use it I will come back with a different result but no luck...

I feel stupid that I keep trying every few months but my hope that I will be able to unwind like I used to will come back!!

Unfortunately you (and I) have no choice then to just stop it all together...

Belive me... Your not alone in this reaction...

I will only have to make a guess, but I would think if you have been doing this for sometime that your body is craving this chemical that is in it. It is like Coffee drinkers they crave the caffeine that is in coffee. But the results you are having I would seek help to get off and do something else more meaning with your life. I know you have to be wanting this or you wouldn't have ask for advice. If you believe in prayer ask for help from God. He is always the best source I've found when I have problems. No matter what kind they are. and I've had problems. He has solved for me. I had to be will ing to do my part to but he will give you the strength to do it. I will be praying for you to succeed.
