I just got a bottle of it. 200 mg dosage per tablet. Bottle says:
Adults & Children 12 years or older: 1-2 tablets every 4 hours, not to exceed 12 tablets in 24 hours. Has children dosages too but you are not a child.

I agree with Jerry M. Read the instructions on the box. The companies that produce medications spend millions on research on exactly what is the most effective way (including amount) to use their medications. Usually there's also a toll free number listed somewhere to contact the company, or you could find them online. Another way to find out the answer is to call your doctor's office. Either he/she or the nurse will be able to answer that. None of that works for you? Walk into a pharmacy and ask the pharmacist. The problem with asking here is that we don't the age of the person getting the guaifenesin, and that makes a HUGE difference. Dosing is extraordinarily important with children with just about all medications.
