Actually, it's recommended those with eating disorders NOT take wellbutrin! If it's overeating that might be different, but anorexia or bulemia definetly not. Otherwise, it's effective for overeaters. It reduces appetite AND cravings.
I've never heard of wellburtrin to treat eating disorders, I was on 300mg for smoking but after my suicide attempt my meds got all turned around and now I'm not on it any more. I don't smoke as well but oh well.
I don't know what kind of eating disorder you suffer from but I assume it's not anorexia. Wellbutrin often suppresses ones appetite. It can also cause seizures. I'm assuming you are overweight so yes it should help. Give it at least two-three weeks before you notice your appetite dissipating
