How can I help my diarrhea?!

Question: Okay, so yesterday I had pretty bad stomache cramps and gas. Today at school I had a really bad abdomial cramp and went to the bathroom and had diarrhea.
I came home from school and as I was walking to the bathroom I got a cramp, went to the bathroom and had diarrhea.
Could it any way be related to stress, because I'm under alot because I'm getting bad grades.
My younger sister is sick with a sore throat, fever, runny nose and cough too.
I had Chinese food for supper last night and I usualy get diarrhea from slantro(sp?) and I had tacos for supper tonight.
How can I help it?

Stay hydrated - drink lots and lots of fluids - water, gingerale, gatorade. Usually if you have diarrhea, it's because your body is trying to get rid of some bad bugs. If it lasts for another day, then you might want to try an over the counter remedy - like Pepto or Immodium. That will stop it.

Try the BRAT diet - bananas, rice, apples and toast, until you return to normal bowel function.

Hope you feel better soon.

Are your parents sick also?? It sounds like sister may have passed on Norwalk virus to you, but the good part is it passes in 2 days. Try taking Imodium, eating a bland diet,(NO TACOS), soda crackers, ginger ale, gatorade, as you have to keep yourself hydrated and your electrolytes in balance such as K Na Mg .

I read somewhere that apple cider vinegar helps. take 1 table spoon every hour until it passes. also, keep hydrated with a lot of water.
