When You Die.........................

Question: When you die is you really bothered what they do with your body?

When you are dead you are dead (obviously) so why worry about what is going to happen to your body after death.

I am not worried (contradicting myself here) but would like to make sure that I have a fairly good send off when I die.

I do not want my body to be used for animal food (ya never know) even though I will not feel anything.

I hope people will understand where I am coming from?

Opinions please

Death is a really interesting subject to most of us. All of us have known some-one that has died, and that seems to mould the way we think about what happens and what we think it should be.
Everyone has their own opinions, and they should be respected no matter what. I think that most people worry about how their family is going to cope , so they try to arrange what they think would be easiest for them to cope with.
The old fashioned Irish Wake- well that is as good a way as any, your loved ones all gather to celebrate your LIFE and mourn your DEATH. Every-one (well most of them anyway) gets pretty pissed, have a good laugh a good cry and vow never to forget you, not that they probably could or would want to anyway.
Personally, I want to be Cremated, have a quiet service where my friends and family can say goodbye's if they need to and my Ashes scattered over the point with my daughter Amy's, who died from Leukaemia a few years ago.
As to people understanding where you are coming from, I'm sure they would, I do.
Don't ever be afraid to say whats on your mind.
Best of Luck & Long Happy Life to you.

organ donor?

will tell people that

Once I die, I couldn't care less what they do with my body...

UNless you're death is in the middle of a gator pit you shouldn't be a happy meal for any critters. I would specify in a living will how you want your remains handles, avoid all that un-necessary worry.

It wouldn't bother me what happens afterwards. But I would prefer to be cremated.

that's what wills are for to say what you want done when you pass on.
when I'm gone it well be the happiest day for me i never asked to be here in the frist place.
and my ashies well be put to lay right beside my mom,& brother

i feel you, i am an organ donor because i had a friend die as a child because she never got her liver/kidney transplant, but i still worry what will they take. i know it shouldnt matter, but i have been living in this body all my life and worry what will happen to it when i am not here to take care of it anymore.... plus the poem about the worms go in the worms go out, wierds me out

Man, I sure hope your family's not gonna feed you to the pigs!

To answer...It all depends how I die that determines how it goes after. Like if I'm murdered or O.D. or something like that, the authorities are gonna demand an autopsy. I hate that idea. I don't want some coroner carving my @ss up. I'm already dead, so why would I care what "the cause"?

My family's been instructed to cremate me at a secret spot up in the hills if I die of natural causes. Someone will eventually find my remains...call the police...then the DNA from my bones will be matched to a missing persons file...then the life insurance company will have a "body" and settle the claim.

Sounds crazy doesn't it?

I know what you mean. Someone once asked would you rather rot or burn when you die. Both are very unpleasing. I think I would rather rot. I'm not an organ donor either. I know it would help people out and I always wish I was but when it comes time and the BMV people ask if I want to I always answer no...I freak out about it.

Cremation is they way to go if you are worried about that.

I used to worry about that stuff, too. But now I know what The Bible says ; that if you know Jesus, when you are absent from the body, you're present with Christ. I wouldn't take any chances. Knowing that I'm gonna be ok, I'm free from worry.

I will go into the ground.
