Why am I never hungy??!


Question: I'm like.. never hungry, and then when i DO get hungry, i get SO hungry that I can hardly stand it (and it comes on pretty fast!), so then when I eat, i eat a lot, and then I feel stuffed for the next three hours and then it will take up to like.. maybe 5-6 hours before I'll feel settled and another few hours until i get hungry again.

When I "eat a lot", I don't eat and eat. I'll take (let's use casserole for the example) like two serving-spoonfuls of food and some of the side veggie, and then after only a few bites i'm full!! I'll feel guilty about getting so much so I'll eat the rest of it, lol.

But anyway, what the heck is going on?? Is this normal (I honestly don't think so, but you never know)????? I know that I should probably ask a doctor or something, but I was wondering if anybody's felt like this and how they conquered it (also, what it was!).

It is ONE symptom of depression. However, if you have no other symptoms like feeling tired and depressed then you just have an irregular appetite.
Is it normal? Probably not. Depending on your body type, activity level and diet, it may or may not be. If you get regular exercise, stay hydrated and have a regular sleep pattern you should have a regular appetite as well.
However, if you work at a desk or are in school and only get exercise on the weekends, stay up late a few nights a week and consume a lot of caffeine (an appetite suppressant), then is is somewhat normal but not very healthy.

are you stressed or nervous?
when i was stressed and depressed, i was never hungry...when i was going through this, the lining of my stomach was being eaten away from the acids naturally in your stomach because no food was there to be prosessed
