How To Lift Something??!

Question: I know you're supposed to lift with your legs, not your back, but how exactly do you do that...when I try, I feel like I'm using my arms/back, and not my legs, and I need to fix that!

Start with something light like a few school books. Put them on the floor at your feet and stand. Keeping your back sraight and upright, bend your knees and crouch down to the object. Pick up the object keeping it as close to you as possible. Reverse the motion of your knees and straightened back lifting up only using your arms to embrace the object, not to lift it.

IDK. Get someone to do it. I have a boyfriend who is attached to my hip whenever I need anything moved or opened I get him to do it.

bend at knees, legs apart some what , balance weight between arms .....ho heave upward in standing position.
Place legs together and walk to you destination.

I bet he wipes her nose too . lol

Keep your back straight (begin practicing by always looking straight ahead, not down) and don't let your knees bend past your toes as you squat down. Keep your arms straight and lift through your shoulders.

Keep your arms extended straight, back vertical, knees bent to a squat. Grasp the item, then raise up until your legs are straight. It's hard to do - you're right on that.

Bend at the knees not at the lower back, pick up item & lift.
