Effexor slow release causing me to "speed"?!

Question: I was on effexor and it made my heart race really bad and made me jittery. The doctor switched me off it right away. You should call your doctor and see about switching to another medication.

Tell your MD about it. Maybe your dosage needs to be adjusted to go up more slowly or add a combo med...like Wellbutrin XL.

If you haven't been on it too long, that side effect might lessen.
