Personally I think paracetamol is over used and over prescibed. If you really are sure it's a 'flu thing then you really ought to let your body fight whatever as much as you can. Rest, sleep do nothing let your system sort it. Take in fluids and vitamins. Switch off for a day or so. Turn off the mobile 'phone and take off the door knocker! Put up a sign that says" Plague victim beware...Return in two days". You'll be O.K.

Since I am cautious by nature, I'd say take a half dose.

...try not to take more then 500mg in 6 hrs.

I don't think it would be wise to take more yet. Paracetamol, as you know, can do a lot of damage and be dangerous if too many are taken. It's tough, but try to hold out for a couple of hours if you can. Hope you feel better soon.

could you taste the tablets in your sick? if so about 1/3 of it will be in your system so you could take 1 more without problem now if you feel rough but they do take 20 min to work so perhaps you should wait and see. paracetamol are very dangerous if you take too many so pls be careful, hope you feel better soon xx

Although some people here are quite knowledgable about different things, you should contact a hospital advice nurse about medical situations.
