Blood coming out when I have a #2?!
Question: Hey guys. From time to time when I take a dump, I see an inordinate amount of blood in the bowl. This is pre-wiping. Been happening over a year, but it goes for a week or so and disappears. I am 18, but should I go see a doctor?

OMG, please, do not walk, RUN to the DR. I am not trying to scare you, but that is NOT normal. You may have some VERY serious health issues going on, and it does not matter that you are only 18. Think about this. When did this start? Do you have abdominal pain.? What are your eating habits? How could you not be worried? I sure as hell would be! I am a cancer survivor, and I am not trying to diagnose you with that or anything, but it certainly is something to concern yourself with, so for your own sake, please take my word for it, and get yourself checked out, like YESTERDAY! You should have gone to the doctor the first time you experienced this. You could either have bleeding in your bowels or possibly hemmerhoids (sp?). Blood in stool is never a good thing. Call your doctor.
Yes, see a doctor. If the blood is red then you likely have a fissure in your rectum and are just bleeding when it stretches to allow a large turd to pass. However, if the stool is black then the bleeding is more internal. Be wise, get it checked out just to be safe.
Yes, yes, yes,yes,yes.... by all means ..YES!!! Go see a doctor!! This could be something as serious as Colon Cancer, and it could not be anything more than just needing a stool softener, but don't take chances with your life, please! It's better to be safe than sorry, OK? You may have hemorrhoids, or straining to hard. Something is not right in there because bleeding from the rectum is not normal. I would definately talk to your doctor about this ASAP. This might be just a need for stool softner, such a colace, but you also may need serious medical attention. This is a sign on early on Colon Cancer. I dont mean to scare you but this is very serious. Dont let this progress any longer, you've already waited one year too many!! This is no joke!
