Why do i get frequent bloody noses?!

Question: I tend to get nosebleeds really frequently during the winter and spring months. Theres plenty of weeks where for atleast 3 days I have many, really bad nosebleeds. They usually stop after spring but then return the next year. Why does this happen and how can I prevent it from happening again next year? I'm just tired of them.

Your nasal passages are dry. Use a nasal saline spray. I use Nasamist...it's great. Also try using a moisturizer or emolient to keep your nose moist.

If it gets very bad you can get the bleeding stopped by having the MD cauterize your nose.

Also the nose bleeds in the spring may be due to allergies.

Go to an ENT MD & ask for their advice.

Good luck.

Cold air is very drying to the mucous membranes. Keep them moist with a saline nasal spray. You probably have veins very close to the surface in your nose and the irritation of drying out gets the blood flowing. Remember, keep things moist and use a humidifier in your room at night when you sleep...it will surely help.

Dry air causes it . Use a humidifier .

Perhaps you need to strengthen weak blood vessels with citrus bioflavonoids.

You can find further information in a search for "citrus bioflavonoids" + "blood vessels".
